Most galaxies in the Universe contain gigantic black holes in their centers. Sometimes, the black holes absorb gas and stars via the strong gravity, and just before disappearing into the black holes, the material can get very hot and shine brightly as quasars that can be seen across the entire cosmos. I will describe the
major observational progress in the study of our own Milky Way galactic center, proving that massive black holes actually exist, and that they also test Einstein’s theory of General Relativity
